Future events for getting together are in the planning stages. Some suggestions include a summer cruise (either cruise line or summer Maine windjammer), a BBQ at the Kelp Shed, and a 65th Birthday Bash for those that want to get together in an off-reunion year. We also need to be thinking about the grand event of our 50th Reunion, in 2015, which really isn’t that far away. At that reunion we sponsor the Blue and White Golf Classic (more information will be forthcoming about our roles and responsibilities). We also will be looking at what we want to do about any 50th class donation.

Also, we have started a monthly get together for those in the local area. We go to a different restaurant in the area, generally monthly, and we have a great deal of fun!! Let us know if you are interested in attending by completing the form located on the Contact page.

Starting in 2011 we must begin to raise money for our 50th Reunion Gift. Traditionally, the 50th Reunion gifts have been the most generous of the Class gifts of lesser years. These gifts have been used for full scholarships, donations for school items that are nice to have but are not in the budget, or assistance with budget shortfalls, or funding support for programs that have suffered significant cuts.

Each spring, starting this year, we will send out a newsletter to update you on planning for the 50th. We will request donations. Some classes are raising funds by asking each alumni to donate $100 per year ($8.33 per month) until the 50th. If we were able to do that or something close, we would be able to give a significant class gift. Please contact the Reunion committee with your thoughts or ideas. Thank you.
